Booking Forms

Booking Forms control the customer-facing booking wizard.

Booking forms management screen

Booking Forms control the form experience used to collect customer and booking information.

What this feature is for

Booking Forms are the presentation and flow layer of Booking. They decide which booking choices a customer is asked to make, in what order, and with which labels/layout—not the underlying truth of staff availability or payment processing.

This distinction is useful when troubleshooting: if a service is missing from one form but exists elsewhere, inspect the form’s service/provider/category options. If the service is visible but has no times, inspect Service/Staff availability. If checkout reaches the right total but payment methods are wrong, inspect TruPayments.

A practical way to use it

  1. Decide the audience/use case for the form (all services, a focused service group, provider-specific flow, etc.).
  2. Choose the form layout and the steps/options customers need to complete.
  3. Set labels and service/provider/location selection behavior.
  4. Configure chain booking only when customers should add multiple services to the same booking flow.
  5. Publish/embed the form in the intended Page or theme location.
  6. Test the complete journey on desktop and mobile through payment/confirmation.

How it connects to other features

The form consumes Categories, Services, Staff and Locations. Availability comes from scheduling rules rather than from the form. Payment methods come from TruPayments. Global Booking design/settings supply defaults where the form has no more specific override.

What to expect after changes

Changing a form can alter the customer journey without changing the service catalogue itself. Removing a selection step can reduce customer choice, while filters can unintentionally hide otherwise active services or providers.

Where to find it

Open Booking → Booking Forms.

Choosing a Booking Form

Use Booking Forms to control how customers move through booking, not the underlying service price or staff availability. Choose the form layout/theme and which steps/fields are shown, then leave service/business rules on Services and Booking Settings.

Forms, designs and page blocks

A Booking Form is shown to customers in the design chosen for Form layout / theme in Booking Settings (Photo, List, Split, Schedule or Ticket; see Frontend Designs). You can also place a form on any page with the Booking Form block of the Page Builder. The block can use a specific form, preselect a service or package, limit the services to one location or category, and choose where the live summary appears: where the design puts it, in a bar under the form, hidden, or inside another element on the page that you create with the Booking Summary block. See Page Builder Components.
