Booking Categories organize services into understandable groups for customers and administrators.

Service Categories help administrators organize services before those services are exposed to customers.
Service Categories are the navigation structure of the Booking service catalogue. They help customers narrow a large service list and give administrators a consistent way to group related offerings.
Categories gain customer-facing meaning through Services and Booking Forms. Reorganizing categories does not change staff availability or appointment times, but it can change how easily customers find a service.
Changing a category can affect multiple services at once. Before deleting one, review the services that rely on it and decide where they should be moved.
Open Booking → Categories.
Use Service count to see whether a category is actually in use. Sort Order and Is Active determine how useful it is as a customer-facing organizer. Deactivate an obsolete category only after deciding where its services should live.
Use the tables below when you need the exact meaning of a field, column, filter or action. Read the workflow and dependency sections above first so each option is used in the right context.
