Customer Account & Tracking gives shoppers access to their commerce history and order status after purchase, while public order tracking provides a focused lookup flow where configured.
Customer Account & Tracking lets shoppers review their own store activity after purchase. It reduces support work by making order history/status available without exposing administration screens.

Signed-in customers use the store account area for the purchase/account functions exposed by the active storefront.
Orders provide the data shown here. Page Setup/theme navigation determines how customers reach account/tracking destinations, and checkout settings determine whether account creation is offered.
