Orders are the commercial records created by storefront checkout or other TruCommerce sales flows.

Orders is the main fulfilment workspace for purchases that have completed checkout far enough to create an order record.
Orders are the commercial record created by checkout or another TruCommerce sales flow. They capture what was purchased, customer/address details, totals, payment state and the fulfilment lifecycle. Use Orders as the operational handoff between “the customer paid/placed an order” and “the business fulfilled it”.
Order status and payment status are related but not identical. A paid order can still be awaiting fulfilment, and an order can exist while payment is pending/failed according to the checkout flow.
Products and stock define what was sold; Shipping Methods define delivery choice/cost; Taxes/Promotions affect totals; TruPayments records payment. Customer accounts expose order history/tracking according to storefront configuration.
Status changes can affect customer expectations/notifications. Stock may be affected by order lifecycle. Financial changes should be represented through payment/refund records, not by rewriting historical line-item prices after the fact.
Open TruCommerce → Orders.
Use Customer/Date/Total to identify the sale and Status to manage the fulfilment lifecycle. Open the order before changing status. If the issue is payment, use TruPayments; if it is quantity availability, use Stock/Product. Order status should reflect the business fulfilment state, not compensate for another subsystem.
Use the tables below when you need the exact meaning of a field, column, filter or action. Read the workflow and dependency sections above first so each option is used in the right context.
