Booking Taxes add tax rules to appointment pricing.

Booking tax rules are configured separately from TruCommerce taxes and affect eligible booking charges.
Booking Taxes apply configured tax rules to appointment pricing. The Tax Location choice in Booking Settings determines whether location matching should be based on the customer or provider context, so a tax rate should be designed together with that global policy.
Booking Settings supply the location basis. Services/extras/discounts build the commercial subtotal, and the final amount then flows to deposits/TruPayments. Booking tax configuration is separate from TruCommerce tax categories/rates.
Changing tax configuration changes future appointment totals. Keep historical invoices/appointments intact and use effective business changes prospectively unless your accounting process specifically requires otherwise.
Open Booking Tools → Taxes.
A tax rule combines rate/amount and geography. The global Tax location basis in Booking Settings decides whether the customer location or provider/service location is used to match the rule. Configure that basis first; otherwise a correct tax rate can appear to match the “wrong” place.
