Booking Calendar

Calendar turns appointment records into a scheduling view.

Booking calendar view

The Calendar provides a time-based view of appointments, making schedule conflicts and day-to-day workload easier to understand.

What this feature is for

The Calendar is the scheduling view of Appointments. It is designed to answer “who is busy, when?” faster than a table can. Use it for operational planning and conflict spotting; use the Appointment detail for the authoritative customer/payment/status information.

A practical way to use it

  1. Choose the calendar range/view useful for today’s operation.
  2. Filter by staff/location/service when the calendar is busy.
  3. Open the appointment from the calendar before making customer-impacting changes.
  4. After staff schedule/time-off changes, use the Calendar to check for existing appointments that may now conflict.

How it connects to other features

The Calendar displays Appointments; it does not create extra availability by itself. Staff working hours/time off and Service rules control the slots from which new appointments can be created.

What to expect after changes

Moving or editing an appointment changes the underlying appointment record. Treat drag/reschedule actions with the same care as editing the appointment form, especially when notifications are enabled.

Where to find it

Using Calendar vs. Appointments

Use Calendar to understand time and resource conflicts; use Appointments when you need the complete financial/customer/status record. Calendar is ideal for scheduling decisions, but a payment or refund question belongs to the appointment/payment records.

Field and action reference

Use the tables below when you need the exact meaning of a field, column, filter or action. Read the workflow and dependency sections above first so each option is used in the right context.
