Booking Customers

Booking Customers are the people who make or receive appointments.

Booking customers list

The Customers list provides the Booking module’s customer records for appointment operations and history.

What this feature is for

Booking Customers are the people attached to appointments. The customer record lets staff see booking history and reuse contact information without treating every appointment as an unrelated person.

A practical way to use it

  1. Search before creating a customer so the same person is not duplicated.
  2. Keep contact information accurate because confirmations and booking communication can depend on it.
  3. Use Customer Groups when a shared discount/segment rule is appropriate.
  4. Open the customer history before changing or deleting a record that is tied to appointments.

How it connects to other features

Appointments connect the customer to Services/Staff and financial records. Customer Groups can affect pricing through their configured discount. A core User account is a sign-in identity and should not be confused with the Booking customer record, even when the two are linked.

What to expect after changes

Customer contact changes affect future communication. Merging/duplicating customers can fragment booking history, so search by email/phone before creating another record for the same person.

Where to find it

Open Booking → Customers.

Using the customer list

Use Appointments, Value this month and Customer value to understand relationship history, while Group/Tags help segment customers. Keep one record per person where possible so booking history, discounts and value metrics remain together.
