Service Extras

Service Extras are optional additions a customer can add to a booking, such as an upgraded treatment or additional item.

Booking service extras list

Service Extras let customers add optional items or enhancements when the selected service supports them.

What this feature is for

Service Extras let a customer add an optional item or enhancement to a service without creating a separate appointment. Use an Extra when it belongs to the same booking decision and should travel with the service through pricing/appointment details.

A practical way to use it

  1. Create the extra with a customer-friendly name and its price/other exposed behavior.
  2. Attach it only to the services for which it makes sense.
  3. Test the service in a Booking Form and confirm the extra changes the summary as expected.
  4. Check the saved Appointment so staff can clearly see what the customer selected.

How it connects to other features

Extras depend on Services and the Booking Form exposing the service/options step. The resulting booking amount is what flows onward to taxes, deposits and TruPayments.

What to expect after changes

Changing an extra affects future selections. Do not use an Extra to represent a separate time slot or separately scheduled service; use the appropriate service/compound workflow for that.

Where to find it

How extras affect a booking

An extra adds optional price, duration, and quantity to a service booking. Use it for add-ons customers can choose, not for a separate service that needs its own availability. Extra duration can change the time the booking occupies, so test availability after adding it.
