Plugin Manager

The Plugin Manager is the control center for optional TruCMS functionality.

The Plugin Manager is the central place to review installed plugins and their current state.

What this feature is for

Plugin Manager controls optional functionality installed into TruCMS. A plugin can add menu items, settings pages, customer-facing features and dependencies on other plugins, so activation should be treated as enabling a product feature—not merely toggling a file on and off.

A practical way to use it

  1. Review the installed plugin list and its current status.
  2. For a new plugin, use Add New and upload the supported plugin ZIP package.
  3. Resolve any dependency warning before activating the plugin.
  4. Activate it, then follow the plugin’s own configuration section in this documentation before exposing the feature to customers.
  5. Before deactivating, check whether another active plugin or module depends on it.

How it connects to other features

Booking and TruCommerce both rely on TruPayments for their shared payment flows. The PayPal, Stripe, Mollie and Braintree add-ons extend TruPayments; they are not standalone checkout systems.

What to expect after changes

Activation can add administration navigation and public functionality immediately. Deactivation can make those screens unavailable. Do not assume deactivation deletes data; removal and data retention should be considered separately and only performed when you understand the plugin’s effect.

Where to find it

Protected plugins

The UI can label a plugin as Protected. Treat protected items as unavailable for destructive removal unless the interface explicitly permits an action.
