The built-in installer takes a new TruCMS site from server checks to a working administrator account in four guided stages.
Prepare the web server and empty database first. You should already know the database host, database name, database username, and database password, and your domain should point to TruCMS’s public web directory. See System Requirements and Creating a Database.
| Stage | Purpose | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Requirements Check | Checks the PHP version/extensions and writable directories needed to run TruCMS. | A server that satisfies every check. The installer requires PHP 8.4 or later. |
| 2. Verify Purchase | Confirms the product purchase before configuration continues. | Access to the Envato account used for the purchase. |
| 3. Configuration | Collects the database connection, first administrator account, and initial website details. | Your database credentials, site name/contact email, and the administrator credentials you want to use. |
| 4. Complete | Confirms installation and provides shortcuts to the frontend and administration panel. | The administrator credentials you entered in Configuration. |
Complete the stages in order. If the Requirements Check reports a failure, correct that server item and re-check before continuing. During Configuration, use the real production domain/database details for the site you are installing—do not copy example credentials from a tutorial.
Do not expose credentials in screenshots
The Configuration step contains database and administrator credentials. If you need support, hide passwords and private keys before sharing any image of this page.
Use the Admin Panel link on the completion screen, sign in with the administrator account you just created, then follow First Admin Login for the recommended initial setup order.
