Introduction to TruCMS

TruCMS brings website content, user administration, payments, appointment booking, and ecommerce into one administration area.

What TruCMS does

The core CMS is used to publish pages and blog content, build navigation, manage users and permissions, configure the site, and control the active Echo theme. Optional modules add business workflows without changing how administrators sign in or navigate the main panel.

Product areaUse it when you need to…
Core CMSPublish pages and posts, build menus, manage users, configure site-wide settings, manage plugins, and change the active theme options.
TruPaymentsConfigure the payment choices that Booking and TruCommerce can offer, then review transactions and refunds.
BookingCreate services and staff schedules, accept appointments, manage customers, collect payments, send notifications, and handle cancellations/refunds.
TruCommerceSell products, manage inventory and orders, calculate tax/shipping, run promotions, and operate the customer storefront or POS.
Gateway add-onsConnect TruPayments to PayPal, Stripe, Mollie, or Braintree and provide the credentials used by that gateway.

How to use this documentation

Start with the workflow you are trying to complete rather than the name of a database-style resource. Each article explains why a feature exists, what needs to be configured first, how it affects other parts of TruCMS, and then provides a field/control reference for the screen itself.

The navigation is permission-aware. A staff member may see fewer pages than a site owner. If an article mentions a menu that is not visible for an account, review that account’s role before assuming the feature is unavailable.

A useful mental model

Core settings define site-wide behavior. Module settings define defaults for that module. Individual records—such as a Booking Service or TruCommerce Product—can then add the details specific to that service or product.
